It is supposed that if someone performs HAJJ during the lunar month of lunar month of Islamic then due to the many virtues of the month, the holy journey will result in the excellence and merit equal to that of Hajj. However, the performance of a number of rituals does not mean that Hajj need not be achieved as the two are completely different. The prophet Muhammad himself greeted the performance of the ritual during the said month, as very virtuous.
According to the religious text of Hadith, the spiritual journey hajj performance during the lunar month would translate into doing Hajj with the paramount man on earth. This basically means that those who perform Hajj during the Holy month will have done so with the Prophet himself. The different hadith send a different message to millions of Muslims that increase the significance of hajj. Millions of people perform Hajj by booking hajj packages at any time of the day.
There are various schools who believe differently about hajj being obligatory or otherwise during Ramadan. Majority scholars believe hajj is a Sunnah and not obligatory during Ramadan. However, according to the Shafi School is of the opinion that hajj during Ramadan is an obligation of all Muslims as is Hajj at any one time during the life of the follower. So don’t wait for avail hajj packages and perform during the lunar month of Islamic calendar.
Moreover, general evidence and popular belief lead to the conclusion that Hajj is not obligatory. Irrespective, scores of Muslims are there in Mecca each year during the holy festival of Ramadan for hajj performance and the sight is worth the eyes of every believer in the religion.
